![]() I don't see any sign of an acid spill- just the connector looks melted. The purple inside of the connector is exposed. I rinsed any acid out of it with soda and water, but I haven't been able to trace that part of the harness, though it does look like that plug is headed towards the compressor. There is a pretty good sized plug just inboard of the battery that looks like it has been eaten by battery acid. The plug on the compressor is cracked, but looks like it should still be good electrically. I don't know if this is related, but I've been tracing the A/C wiring harness, and have spotted some odd things. I tried a few other random things like Engine and Instruments, and had no errors or problems. ![]() It tried three times to connect, then gave me a message that said "No Response From Controller". I went to the "Select Control Module" menu, and selected 08- Auto HVAC. I plugged in, turned the ignition to "on", and opened VCDS. I have to hit a couple of buttons to get my laptop and cable back in good stead. I have loaned out my cable a couple of times, and it balks when I go to use it again. I am a novice VCDS user, but I have the latest cable and software, and I've used it a couple of times. I'm doing as much troubleshooting as I can on my Jetta before I leave it at the mercy of a shop to fix my air conditioning.
